Among thousands of schools across the United States, only 26 schools met NCUST’s rigorous award criteria and were named to the Honor Roll. TOMORROW, Wednesday, January 28, our 6th–8th graders will take their RLA Benchmark 📝💪. This is a big checkpoint to see how far our students have come—and how we can best support them moving forward.
✅ Attendance matters. A LOT.
Every student present = accurate data, strong planning, and no make-up testing headaches later. Let’s set our Dobermans up for success by making sure they’re here, on time, and ready to shine ✨🐕🦺

The weather for tomorrow, Tuesday, January 27, 2026, is forecast to be the same with temperatures below freezing in the early morning hours. Therefore, McAllen ISD will delay start of instruction and bus services by one hour. Brown MS will start the day at 9:00 a.m.
Staff should report at their regular scheduled time. For families who need to drop off students at the regular time, campuses will be open as scheduled to accommodate early arrival. Please make every effort to have your child attend as we have our Reading Benchmark for all students on Wednesday.
